This is a situation in which a suspect accused of the gravest crimes is placed in the judge’s chair during his own trial. When the prosecutor or witnesses (other countries) read out the charges and demand his arrest, this “judge” simply raises a hand, says “Veto,” closes the session, and goes on committing crimes while hiding behind his robe. - “A Terrorist with a Bomb as School Principal”
A terrorist has seized a classroom, but he is not neutralized because he sits on the school’s board of directors and blackmails everyone by threatening to blow up the entire building (nuclear blackmail). Instead of storming the building and isolating him, the other board members are forced to sit at the same table with him, listen to his complaints about the school charter, and pretend that he is the “legitimate representative of the parents’ committee.” - “A Raider in Someone Else’s Apartment Who Forged a Will”
Muscovy has never legally joined the UN under the procedure stipulated by the Charter (unlike other newly independent states). It simply “moved into” the seat of the USSR, which had ceased to exist, by changing the nameplate. This is like an unauthorized squatter moving into the apartment of a deceased neighbor, stealing his passport, transferring the property into his own name, and now telling the other residents of the building that he is the lawful head of the homeowners’ association.
