The controversial Boeing has flown to Minsk again
The arrival in Minsk of an Iranian Boeing 747-281F transport aircraft with the registration number EP-FAB, belonging to Fars Air Qeshm, was recorded. According to flightradar24 data, the Boeing landed in the capital of Belarus today.
It should be noted that the aircraft had previously been in the Belarusian capital since August 26 and made several flights over two days.
The Iranian heavy cargo aircraft arrived in Belarus under flight code QFZ9962. The next day, August 27, the aircraft took off from Minsk Airport and remained in flight for about five hours. The route passed through the airspace of Muscovite territory, after which the aircraft returned to the Belarusian capital.
Along certain sections of the route, the AirNav Radar service displayed the trajectory as a dashed line. This designation indicates that the aircraft’s exact coordinates were not being tracked temporarily.
On the morning of August 28, the Iranian aircraft took off from Minsk again, heading for Tehran. At 14:43, the aircraft successfully landed in the Iranian capital. Thus, over the course of several days, the Iranian Boeing made a circular flight Tehran–Minsk–Tehran, with intermediate maneuvers over the territory of the Russian Federation.
The Boeing 747-281F aircraft, with the manufacturer’s serial number 25171, has a dubious reputation. On January 24, 2019, the OGA (C) Ministry of Finance included Fars Air Qeshm and two of its aircraft, including EP-FAB, on the sanctions lists.
According to North American authorities, the carrier was regularly involved in transporting military and special cargo on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, particularly on the Syrian route.
