“This is her home; everyone else should be heading home”

Sabalenka's coach commented on the US Open final.

Jason Stacy, fitness coach to the world's No. 1, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, commented on his player's game ahead of the final match at the US Open. Today, September 12, Aryna will vie for the title against Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina.

“I would put it this way—I don't want to offend anyone—this is her home, and all the other girls here are simply guests, and it's time for them to go home. She steps onto the court understanding that her task is to dictate the pace, stick to her strategy, and not lower herself to the level of the opponent on the other side of the net, not adapt to her, but simply do her job—and that's all.

That is exactly how she plays when she is in the zone. She catches that very moment when she finds an inner connection and harmony with herself. When she comes out and plays in that vein, everyone else starts having problems,” Stacey said at a press conference.
