Moldovan athletes Irina Rîngaci and Mihaela Samoil won two gold medals at a freestyle wrestling tournament in Croatia
The Moldovan women's freestyle wrestling team won two gold and one bronze medal at the international Valamar Cup tournament, held in the Croatian city of Poreč.
The team's main achievement was European and world champion Irina Rînгач's return to the top step of the podium, the Sports Center for the Training of National Teams reported. The athlete won the tournament's gold medal.
Mihaela Samoil also achieved a similar success, winning gold in her weight category.
Maria Leorda won the tournament's bronze medal.
A total of 132 athletes from 23 countries around the world took part in the Valamar Cup international competition.
