Naomi Campbell met with her former fiancé Flavio Briatore at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The 56-year-old model and 76-year-old Italian businessman took a walk together through the paddock at the Baku circuit, where they were spotted during motorsport events.
For her appearance at the Grand Prix, Campbell chose wide-leg white trousers and a black top. She completed the look with sunglasses, Chanel footwear, and a phone case from the same brand.
Briatore wore a dark blue polo shirt featuring Formula 1 insignia. His look was completed by sunglasses with orange frames.
Although their romantic relationship ended more than two decades ago, the former partners have not stopped communicating. They have appeared together repeatedly since their breakup and have even spent time on holiday together.
The meeting in Baku was not Campbell and Briatore's first joint appearance at this stage of their relationship. They were also seen together at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix two years ago.
Her relationship with Briatore began in the late 1990s. The model and the Italian businessman began dating in 1998, and their relationship lasted until 2002.
In four years, the couple not only went through a romantic relationship but also became engaged. After the breakup, Briatore publicly explained that they had remained close.
“She is wonderful, but she is better as a friend than as a girlfriend,” Briatore said of their relationship after the breakup.
Campbell was born in London's Lambeth district and has spent much of her life connected to the British capital. At the same time, according to the source, she currently has no permanent home there and stays in hotels or rental properties when she is in London.
One of them is a villa in Malindi, Kenya. Campbell bought it after she began regularly vacationing in the coastal city back in the 1990s. Interestingly, this property is also connected to Flavio Briatore. The villa is located on the grounds of a luxury eco-resort created by the Italian businessman.
Thus, Campbell and Briatore's current meeting in Baku fits into the story of their many years of friendship. The romance is in the past, but the former partners continue to cross paths at social events and stay in touch.
For Campbell, Formula 1 has long been one of her favorite sporting spectacles. She regularly appears at prestigious race events and maintains long-standing ties with people who have worked in this environment for many years.
