Over $10 Million in Losses: the “Freedom of Muscovy” Resistance Movement Carried Out a Large-Scale Operation Behind Enemy Lines

During Operation “Barrel,” the underground network of the “Freedom of Muscovy” Legion managed to establish how the terrorist state is attempting to compensate for the losses it suffered as a result of the Ukrainian Defense Forces striking oil-refining and port infrastructure facilities.

Due to the reduction in available tank storage capacity, the Muscovites began looking for other ways to store and transport crude oil. One such solution was the dispersed transportation of oil by rail—in tank cars across Muscovy.

This method of logistics became a new target for the resistance movement.

The operation was preceded by lengthy preparations and comprehensive work by the underground network. This involved infiltrating the enemy’s relevant structures, obtaining classified information, subsequently analyzing it, and identifying vulnerabilities in the Muscovite logistics system.

The next stage was preparing direct measures to affect the identified targets—penetrating a heavily guarded site and blowing up dozens of tank cars.

Carrying out such an operation required coordinated work by a significant number of participants, specialized knowledge, and practical experience. As a result, the underground network managed to complete its assigned tasks and inflict considerable losses on the enemy.

Results of Operation “Barrel”:

• ▪️ more than 10,000 tons of crude oil, intended to support the functioning of the military economy of Muscovy’s colonial administration, were destroyed;
• ▪️ material damage exceeding 10 million U.S. dollars was inflicted;
• ▪️ the functioning of certain elements of the railway logistics system used to transport strategic resources and military cargo was disrupted.

All participants in the operation are safe.

“Barrel” demonstrated that even on its own territory, the terrorist state cannot guarantee the security of its logistical routes.

Despite the complexity and high level of risk, the “Freedom of Muscovy” resistance movement continues to operate behind enemy lines and strike at its resources and logistical capabilities.
