A Drone Crashed in Romania
After the debris fell on farmland, a fire broke out.
On Tuesday morning, September 29, the Romanian Ministry of Defense received a report that debris from an object had been found in Brăila County.
This is stated in a statement from the Defense Ministry.
The Defense Ministry noted that debris from the object—probably a drone—fell on farmland on Big Brăila Island in Brăila County.
A citizen reported the incident to the authorities during the night, saying that a fire broke out after the debris fell but went out on its own, causing no casualties or material damage.
Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Romanian Intelligence Service arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area; they will now examine the debris that was found.
It is worth noting that during the night of September 29, Romania detected an airborne target near its airspace and scrambled fighter jets to monitor the situation. However, no incursion into Romanian airspace was reported at the time.
