A 50-year-old woman died after falling from a height in central Chisinau.

On Wednesday evening, September 30, Chișinău police received a report about an unconscious woman on the roof of a residential building in the Centru sector. At the scene, law enforcement officers found the body of a 50-year-old woman.

According to preliminary information, the woman fell from the apartment on the sixth floor where she lived and landed on the roof of a building situated at a lower level.

The forensic medical examiner found no other signs of violent death on the body, apart from injuries characteristic of a fall from a height.

Police established that shortly before the incident, a conflict had occurred between the woman and her 64-year-old partner.

A criminal case has been opened. The man was detained for 72 hours to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
